Job description

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Night Shift- Skilled Production to join our growing team.
Department/Team: Reports toProduction Supervisor
Shift (if applicable): Night Shift
American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation's largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available fora Skilled Production Associate to assist our Distribution division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.
JELD-WEN is one of the world's largest door and window manufacturers, with more than 22,000 employees operating in 24 countries globally. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, JELD-WEN designs, produces and distributes an extensive range of interior and exterior doors, wood, vinyl and aluminum windows.
Successful candidate(s) may perform any of the following duties:
  • Accurately read work order picks and use measuring tools
  • Operate conventional machines such as Table Saw's, Mills, Surface Grinder, Drill Sharpener etc
  • work on the CNC/Komo Machine (Training Provided, experience preferred)
  • Perform mathematical valuations, as well as read and understand technical drawings
  • Start of shift preventative maintenance inspection
  • Material preparation and material handling
  • Work overtime as needed to satisfy customer demands
  • Other general warehouse duties as needed

Special Requirements:
  • Commercial machine operator experience
  • Past experience in commercial woodworking (doors, millwork, cabinets, etc.)
  • Past experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • General knowledge of building materials
  • Can perform simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools
  • Works well in a fast-paced, TEAM environment
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
