Job description

Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. is accepting applications for a Plant Operator in New Braunfels, Texas

Pay rate - $22.25 DOE*

Night Shift 3:30pm to 1:30am 

Job Requirements 

  • Must maintain reliable attendance and transportation.
  • Must meet company safety and performance standards.
  • The duties can change daily depending on the project and weather.
  • Must be able to pass physical and drug test.
  • Candidate should be minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Ambitious, dependable, and have a good work ethic.
  • Heavy Equipment and Mechanical/Electrical Knowledge preferred but not required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Prior experience operating aggregate plants is preferred; prior experience multitasking on computers is required
  • 2 years in a similar industry preferred
  • Must pay close attention to amps & camera to ensure the plant stays running
  • Must assist in any aggregate plant repair as directed and perform inspections before each shift
  • Must be able to start up and shut down the plant and make minor repairs and adjustments to the equipment
  • Must be familiar with the principles of electrical and mechanical instrumentation in order to make the necessary adjustments to operate and make minor repairs on these instruments
  • Must have thorough knowledge of mechanics in order to quickly diagnose problems and take necessary action, including emergency repairs
  • Must comply with company safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
  • Safety equipment means clothing and apparatus including, but not limited to hardhat, safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes, back support belts, gloves and respirators
