Great Lakes Wine & Spirits continues to grow as we seek a Warehouse Conveyor Technician for the Night Shift in Highland Park.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Warehouse Conveyor Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper use and operation of sorting and conveyance systems to maximize production and accuracy throughout warehouse. This involves communicating production and picking issues to Warehouse Management such as late cases, backups, delays, sequence issues, equipment issues, and system issues. Other duties include but not limited to:
  • Calling Management for backup during periods of prolonged absence such as mechanical issues and personal breaks, as needed
  • Turn on and off all conveyance (and related) equipment before and after production accordingly
  • Manually jog cases through as necessary
  • Author and submit reports as delegated by Management
  • Address jams and breakage to ensure continuous flow of products through the system
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Maintain valid certifications for all applicable material handling equipment
  • Use all equipment as intended; employing proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary or required
  • Assist with order picking, sorting, and cleanliness within the warehouse on an as needed.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
This position operates in a warehouse environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration where the noise level can be loud. This position is also very active and must frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, stoop and climb throughout the day while lifting, stacking, moving and rotating with items, without handles, that weigh up to 50 pounds; push/pull carts with up to 100 pounds of force. This position is required to operate warehouse equipment and regularly to read, write and communicate in English.
Work Schedule
This position works the Night Shift starting at 7:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday, and works until the job is finished. This job requires mandatory overtime and may be frequently asked to work Fridays based on business needs.

Required Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to be active and on your feet for an entire shift
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 55 lbs., and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working at high altitudes and using basic computer systems

  • Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable contracts, signed agreements, and work rules.
  • Cooperates with all management and staff of GLWAS.
  • Follows all MLCC rules and regulations, as they apply to the position.
  • Use alcohol in a responsible manner when related to business activities.
