Forklift Operator - 12 hour night shift

Location: Brockport, NY

HOURS:

12 Hour night shift: 6pm-6am, rotating each week the days you are on/off

Working 4 shifts every week - between Monday and Saturday - No Sundays!

Pay: $20 per hour base, plus $2 shift differential

Duration:Temp to Hire Opportunity (conversion for high performers after approximately 3 months)

Position Overview

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality packaging operations. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Maintenance

Your daily role

All forklift operators must be able to safely operate an electrically powered, sit-down style truck. Their primary responsibility is to supply all the necessary materials, (Raw Product Vegetables, Corrugated Cases, Roll Wrap Stock, etc) for the completion of the daily production schedule. Most Production lift truck operators work in one of our two product dump rooms

Safety & Efficiency

  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.

  • Meet established performance, quality, and efficiency goals.

  • Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment issues.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience operating a Forklift in a manufacturing setting.

  • Ability to use an RF scanner.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and written in English.

  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently (and up to 100 lbs occasionally with assistance).

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.

Work Environment

  • Comfortable working in conditions that may be noisy, dusty, hot, humid, or wet.

  • Ability to work safely around chemicals, solvents, and moving mechanical parts.

Education & Reliability

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Strong work ethic, problem‑solving skills, and consistent attendance are essential.
