Description:
We are the automation team under Walmart Search Backend Productivity and Tools Engineering (PTE). We are working to build highly scalable software solutions by leveraging state-of-the-art technology. We design, architect, and deploy cloud native applications; automate infrastructure provisioning with code; automate software delivery and test processes with code; collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tools and services for them.

We're looking for smart, motivated engineers to join our L1 support team in US PST hours. We have a team in India that cover US night hours, which means no 3AM page outs! The role would entail about 60% on call and 40% project support
Extra points if:

• You have Docker, kubernetes experience
• You have experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
• You are skilled in creating documentation that is easy to read and understand
• You are curious and have constructive feedback on the status quo and help to take it to the next level

Required skills:

• Must be able to demonstrate mastery of basic/common functions of whichever OS you claim to be experienced with
• Must be able to type fairly accurately and with decent speed
• Mastery of basic/common Linux commands
• Ability to understand and write basic scripts
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Have high discipline on duties when on call
• Good knowledge on CI/CD processes
• Strong investigative and analytical skills.
• Experience in maintaining/debugging Web services/REST APIs
