Job description

The Night Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all warehouse operations during the night shift, focusing on maximizing overnight productivity while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and regulatory compliance. This role ensures the accurate and timely dispatch of goods for morning deliveries and supports team development within a BRCGS-certified environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead night operations by supervising, coaching, and mentoring night-shift staff across receiving, replenishment, order picking, and staging functions using WMS BFC and Prime.
  • Drive shipping accuracy by managing fulfillment workflows to ensure 100% order accuracy and on-time fleet departures.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with USDA, FDA, and local food distribution safety regulations including temperature monitoring and sanitation guidelines.
  • Uphold BRCGS Global Standards for Storage and Distribution by ensuring facility cleanliness, pest control monitoring, and proper product handling.
  • Ensure audit readiness by maintaining accurate nightly logs, traceability records, and temperature charts for third-party BRCGS and regulatory audits.
  • Optimize night-shift labor resources to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and corrective actions for overnight team members.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of warehouse supervisory experience, preferably managing overnight shifts.
  • Experience in food distribution, fresh produce, or cold-storage environments.
  • Hands-on experience in a BRCGS-certified facility (Storage and Distribution standard preferred).
