About Misfits

Misfits Bar & Grill is a fast-paced neighborhood bar and restaurant known for great food, strong drinks, late-night service, and a fun atmosphere. We are looking for a hands-on Kitchen Manager who can lead by example, build a strong team, maintain food quality, and help grow our kitchen operations.

This is not a sit-in-the-office management position. We are looking for someone who is willing to jump on the line, train staff, solve problems, and take ownership of the kitchen’s success.

Responsibilities

Manage all day-to-day kitchen operations

Recruit, hire, train, and develop kitchen staff

Create and manage employee schedules

Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards

Maintain food safety and sanitation compliance

Manage inventory and place food orders

Control food costs and reduce waste

Monitor labor costs and staffing levels

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen

Assist with menu development and special offerings

Address equipment and maintenance needs

Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

Previous kitchen management experience preferred

Strong leadership and communication skills

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Reliable transportation

Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
