Job description

Are you a night owl who enjoys providing exceptional guest service and working independently? We are looking for a Night Auditor to join our Guest Services team.

In this role, you will provide warm, professional service to our overnight guests while ensuring the hotel is secure, guest accounts are accurate, and the business day is successfully closed and prepared for the day ahead.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable working independently, and confident making decisions in a fast-paced hotel environment.

 

What You'll Do

  • Provide exceptional guest service and create a welcoming experience for guests throughout the overnight shift.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the hotel's services, facilities, amenities, and other hotel properties to confidently assist guests and identify sales opportunities.
  • Process and maintain guest accounts in accordance with hotel credit policies.
  • Accept, confirm, modify, and cancel room reservations while communicating booking information appropriately.
  • Complete the overnight audit, including posting room and tax charges, balancing guest accounts, and reconciling telephone, Food & Beverage, and other receipts.
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports and information to the appropriate departments to support the hotel's operations for the following day.
  • Perform required computer and system maintenance, including monthly database archives, daily network preparation, and Food & Beverage Point of Sale month-end procedures.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and report technical problems as required.
  • Maintain a visible and reassuring security presence throughout the hotel overnight.
  • Conduct regular property patrols, respond to noise complaints, address unauthorized persons, and help protect hotel guests and property.
  • Contact and liaise with police or emergency services when required to maintain safety and security.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and use sound judgment to resolve issues and exceed guest expectations.
  • Follow all emergency response and safety procedures and report incidents, accidents, near misses, and safety hazards.
  • Provide safe and efficient valet parking service, including parking and retrieving guest vehicles from the parkade.
  • Complete additional duties and assignments as required by hotel management.

  • Previous hotel or customer service experience is an asset.
  • Previous night audit or Front Office experience is considered an asset.

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn hotel systems and software.

  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record for valet responsibilities.
