General Description/Primary Purpose:
The 1919 Hotel is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to oversee overnight hotel operations, provide exceptional guest service, and complete daily financial reconciliation using the MEWS Property Management System. The Night Auditor serves as the primary hotel representative during overnight hours and plays a critical role in ensuring guest satisfaction, property security, and accurate daily reporting.
Classification: Part-time Staff, Non-Exempt
Appointment: 12-month
Description of Job Functions:
  1. Welcome and assist late-arriving guests
  2. Process guest check-ins and check-outs
  3. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns
  4. Answer telephone inquiries and make reservations as needed
  5. Maintain a positive and hospitable guest experience
  6. Complete daily night audit procedures within the MEWS Property Management System
  7. Verify room charges, payments, and revenue postings
  8. Balance daily transactions and reconcile guest accounts
  9. Generate required financial and operational reports
  10. Ensure accuracy of hotel records and documentation
  11. Conduct routine security walks of the property
  12. Monitor hotel entrances and common areas
  13. Respond appropriately to emergencies or guest incidents
  14. Coordinate with management regarding maintenance or safety concerns
  15. Prepare reports for hotel management
  16. Maintain organized front desk records
  17. Ensure confidentiality of guest and financial information
  18. Assist with reservations and occupancy management
  19. Other duties as assigned.
  20. Complete all training assigned by the Human Resources Department.

Qualification Standards:
  1. Minimum Educational Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required
  2. Preferred Experience: Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience.
  3. Professionalism: The Murray State College staff members are expected to show professional competence, integrity, and enthusiasm in performing all responsibilities.
  4. Image: Murray State College employees are expected to maintain a neat, well-groomed, professional image while performing their responsibilities.
  5. Background Check: The successful candidate must give permission to have a formal background check conducted and employment is contingent upon the results of the national criminal and sex offender background check
