Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate, skilled nursing care during night shifts in a critical access hospital setting located in the Pacific Northwest region. This role involves caring for patients with diverse medical conditions, requiring strong assessment, implementation, and evaluation skills guided by sound clinical judgment and nursing protocols.
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers professional care to acutely ill patients, ensuring adherence to approved nursing practices and policies. This position demands responsibility for maintaining and enhancing clinical skills, supporting a mission-driven healthcare environment, and complying with state nursing regulations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to education and experience.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members by providing timely and precise patient information to ensure continuity of care.
  • Document patient care activities thoroughly, including medications, vital signs, and intake/output, and develop individualized care plans within 24 hours of admission.
  • Provide direct patient care following established standards, respecting legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in orientation, staff meetings, and ongoing training to foster teamwork and professional development.
  • Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Night Shift Specific Duties (1800-0630)
  • Adapt professionally to changes in the work environment and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Create positive experiences for patients and coworkers by delivering excellent service.

Education and Experience
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • At least one year of RN experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience of one year or more is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current, unrestricted state nursing license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care principles.
  • Ability to apply age-specific growth and development principles to meet patient needs.
  • Respect for patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Effective organizational and prioritization skills within a nursing unit.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including accurate documentation.
  • Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements
Includes occasional lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs, frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Vision, hearing, and speech within normal range with or without corrective devices.
Work Schedule
12-hour night shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.
