Job Description
Join a dynamic team at a premier 225-bed medical facility in Wichita, KS, delivering high-quality bedside care to post-operative orthopedic and neurological patients. In this 13-week night shift role on Ortho Neuro Nursing Unit 001, you will care for patients undergoing joint replacements and complex spinal surgeries while assisting with general med/surg overflow. Enjoy working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary healthcare team in a supportive unit setting utilizing Cerner EHR and Ceil Blue scrubs.
Requirements
1+ years of recent acute care experience in a Med/Surg, Ortho, or Neuro clinical setting
Active Kansas RN License or Compact / Multi-State License
Active AHA BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and MOAB Moderate Risk Certifications
Flexibility to manage general Med/Surg overflow and patient floating within the specialty unit
Essential competencies in post-op joint replacement care, neurological assessments, and medication administration
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience with complex spinal surgery post-op management and joint recovery
Technical proficiency and familiarity with Cerner EHR systems
Previous successful travel nurse contract experience in a hospital environment
Level 1 Job ID #ASC-46112. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
