Position Summary:

As a Residential Install Technician specializing in Fiber Splicing for Internet, Phone, and TV services, you'll be responsible for ensuring seamless connectivity and service delivery to residential customers. Your primary focus will be installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic networks and configuring and optimizing internet, phone, and TV services within residential premises.

Position responsibilities:

  • Install the interior fiber-optic cable and splice it inside the NID to the exterior fiber-optic cable using a fusion fiber splicer.
  • Install and configure internet, phone, and television services in residential homes according to company standards and procedures.
  • Perform on-site assessments to determine the optimal placement of equipment and wiring for efficient service delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to internet connectivity, phone, television reception, and equipment functionality.
  • Educate customers on the use of equipment, features, and services to enhance their overall experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and equipment inventory.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in residential environments.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements and industry trends to improve skills and knowledge continuously.

Essential skills and experience:
