About The Role

The New Home Starts Assistant Manager is responsible in managing and streamlining the New Home Starts (NHS) processes. This position ensures efficient coordination and management of operational tasks related to new home construction, including workload distribution, communication with key stakeholders, and timely execution of project milestones.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with the NHS Manager to manage the workload and community distribution for direct reports, ensuring balanced and effective resource allocation. Coordinate and conduct meetings with Division Presidents and Vice Presidents of Construction to review New Home Starts processes and home status, with at least weekly updates.
  • Managing the processing of homes accurately and in a timely manner while ensuring NHS tools are maintained and utilized.
  • Work with NHS Management to strategically manage the even flow of monthly releases, meeting set goals for home releases. Verify the accurate and timely processing of all panels, addressing any issues promptly. Create and issue panels as needed.
  • Oversee and implement the NHS Training Program, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Foster strong working relationships with municipalities, developers, and internal/external stakeholders, including regular travel and meetings to maintain effective partnerships.
  • Manage urgent projects as needed, meeting tight deadlines and handling short-notice assignments.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Requires at least 2-3 years of administrative experience in a professional office environment. Prefer at least 1 year of experience leading a team.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams, managing project schedules, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
