Electrical Engineer with 8-10 years of experience – registered PE, with building design experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

Management Duties:

  • Work with the design team to ensure that established project deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Ensure a high quality of work and make sure all direction has been followed and coordinated throughout the project documents.

Primary Duties:

  • Maintain a NCEES Record and electrical Professional Engineering registration in the states where MMT does business, currently MA, NH, CT, and RI.
  • Perform field surveys of existing conditions.
  • Draft investigative surveys and feasibility reports for electrical scope of work.
  • Conceptualize, design, and oversee construction of building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, communications, security and fire alarm systems.
  • Create detailed Construction Documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Perform load calculations. MMT uses Bentley Systems EasyPower.
  • Coordinate design with other disciplines including architectural and civil, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection engineers.
  • Working with the Project Manager to provide construction administration services for electrical work

Secondary Duties:

  • Working with the Sr. Electrical Engineer and drafters to update and maintain the electrical CAD detail library.
  • Coordinate with the Office Manager and Sr. Electrical Engineer to ensure that MMT has the latest design resources, such as codes, reference materials and codes.
