JOB OVERVIEW:

We're looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented Creative Designer to lead the visual storytelling of @the.team.nfl, THETEAM's dedicated American Football social platform. This role will be responsible for bringing THETEAM's NFL and NIL talent representation and cross-disciplinary work across sports and marketing to life through compelling, contemporary and social-first design. If you're passionate about the intersection of American football, athletes and culture, this is a strong opportunity to make an impact.

The @the.team.nfl account represents a key area of our business, so you'll be expected to develop a strong understanding of our brand, football talent roster, partners and audience. You'll collaborate closely with social, marketing and talent teams to create visually engaging content that communicates our voice, showcases our clients and elevates the account's presence across platforms.

A major focus of this role will be helping establish a refreshed visual direction for @the.team.nfl and translating player moments, client wins, partnerships and American football insights into visually compelling, easy-to-digest creative-ranging from social graphics and infographics to motion and short-form video assets. We operate in a fast-paced environment, so the ideal candidate is someone who can execute quickly without sacrificing quality, thrives in a collaborative setting and is equally comfortable working independently when needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Creative Design & Execution

  • Tell the broader story of THETEAM's football ecosystem across high school, college and the NFL.

  • Understand the individual journeys of our talent and identify the most compelling moments within them.

  • Translate our work across representation, NIL, marketing, partnerships, experiences and career development into accessible visual storytelling.

  • Use athlete and client wins to attract positive attention, introduce emerging talent and demonstrate our knowledge of the industry.

  • Help position THETEAM as one of the most experienced and sophisticated organizations operating in the business of American football.

  • Design high-quality, on-brand creative across social, digital and marketing channels

  • Develop graphics, templates and visual systems that establish a fresh, contemporary and consistent identity for @the.team.nfl

  • Execute a range of assets including player announcements, signings, draft content, gameday coverage, milestones, brand partnerships and marketing collateral

  • Support motion design and short-form video editing as needed

Athlete & Cultural Storytelling

  • Translate player moments, partnerships and milestones into visually compelling, social-first creative

  • Collaborate with social, marketing and talent teams to bring athlete narratives to life

  • Stay tapped into NFL, college football, athlete and broader cultural trends to inform creative direction

  • Identify visually relevant ways to introduce younger and emerging players to new audiences

  • Balance creativity with clarity to ensure content is both engaging and brand-aligned

Brand & Collaboration

  • Lead the evolution of @the.team.nfl's visual identity across all touchpoints

  • Maintain alignment with the broader THETEAM brand while establishing a distinctive visual approach for the NFL account

  • Partner closely with internal teams to align creative with strategic, audience and client goals

  • Apply feedback efficiently while upholding a high standard of design

Workflow & Project Management

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and often reactive sports environment

  • Stay organized using project management tools, including Asana, and maintain clear communication across teams

  • Plan proactively for major football moments, including the NFL Draft, free agency, training camp, the regular season, playoffs and the Super Bowl

  • Continuously explore design trends, tools, platform behaviors and cultural moments to keep creative fresh and relevant

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 2+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably within an agency, brand or sports/entertainment environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing or a related field

  • Strong portfolio showcasing digital, social and brand design work

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and familiarity with motion tools such as After Effects and Premiere Pro

  • Experience designing for social platforms, with an understanding of best practices across Instagram, TikTok and emerging channels

  • Ability to translate data, research and sports information into visually compelling, easy-to-understand graphics and layouts

  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, color and visual storytelling

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality execution

  • High standard of excellence, with the flexibility to work nontraditional hours when needed and anticipate challenges with thoughtful communication

  • Strong knowledge of the NFL, football culture and the wider sports landscape

  • Awareness of cultural trends across sports, music and entertainment

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Keynote, Slack and Box
