Job description

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Physical Therapist to join our team! The primary duties of a Physical Therapist are:

  • Assist in the development of the EXOS rehabilitation system in accordance with all local, state, and national laws and regulations, as well as licensing and insurance certification, as applicable

  • Conduct routine “Injury Prevention Rounds” to observe real-time biomechanics and ergonomics across all work environments

  • Engage directly with employees during walk-arounds to assess repetitive movements, posture, and task specific physical demands. Engage with remote workers.

  • Perform proactive movement screens and deliver associated corrective strategies

  • Perform appraisal of on-site job duties and recommend best practices to help ensure an efficient and safe workplace

  • Proactively interview staff regarding “early-onset” discomfort or aches to implement corrective interventions before symptoms escalate to OSHA reportable/recordable injuries

  • Performs client tests, measurements and evaluations and record findings to aid in developing and/or revising specifics of the treatment program or training program

  • Administers appropriate treatment as indicated. Instructs, motivates, and assists clients to achieve their goals

  • Utilizes screening information to develop prehabilitation protocol and interventions if needed

  • Appropriately supervises and directs PTA's or support staff in providing patient care and performance of their job responsibilities

  • Records clients' treatment, response, and progress daily within company’s documentation format

  • Completes documentation requirements in a timely manner per policy

  • Updates treatment plan and/ or reevaluates clients as needed to ensure optimal outcome

  • Interacts and consults with other medical services with regard to clients' status as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Physical Therapy

  • Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred)

  • PT Licensure in state of practice

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with industrial lab and warehouse personnel

  • Experience in ergonomic assessment or industrial sport medicine is a plus

  • Flexibility to cover multiple shifts routinely

  • Educational experience with Exos through previous Internship or Mentorship program preferred

  • 2+ years of Physical Therapy experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting or occupational health setting
