Job description

This role is hybrid and will require being in the office 2-3 days a week in Midvale, UT.

NFG is currently seeking to add an experienced Annuities Sales Specialist to our growing team. This role is responsible for strengthening and expanding relationships with existing and prospective financial professionals through a combination of strategic outreach, digital engagement, and consultative support.

The Annuity Sales Specialist will support financial professionals in understanding how to implement various annuity planning strategies and products into their practice. To support advisor and client challenges, the Annuity Sales Specialist must have a deep working knowledge of annuities, including the different types of annuities and when they are appropriate. They must have the ability to connect investor challenges to product solutions and educate financial professionals on how to implement these solutions into their practice.

The position requires strong consultative skills and an ability to assist financial professionals with sales ideas, prospecting techniques, overcoming sales objections, unbiased product guidance and determining the best approach to closing sales opportunities, including developing strategies for point-of-sale meetings. The role will regularly interact with numerous departments including Regional Sales Teams, New Business, Contracting, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
ย ย ย ย Promote NFG Brokerage and the annuity solutions available through NFG to current and prospective financial professionals.
ย ย ย ย Serve as subject matter expert for the different annuity product lines supported by the team consisting of, Fixed, Indexed, and Registered-Index Linked Annuities.
ย ย ย ย Consult with advisors to deliver product guidance and suitability insights tailored to specific client scenarios.
ย ย ย ย Assist advisors with strategic sales ideas and competitive product positioning and provide advisors with guidance as to best-in-class solutions and resources from our partnering carriers.
ย ย ย ย Support advisor education on key investment challenges, including asset protection and retirement security.ย 
ย ย ย ย Provide market trend insights, contribute to marketing and educational initiatives, and deliver presentations via inbound/outbound calls, webinars, and one-on-one consultations.
ย ย ย ย Advocate for the resources, tools, services, and support we provide our financial professionals.
ย ย ย ย Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience Required:ย 
ย ย ย ย Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
ย ย ย ย 2+ years of prior sales experience.
ย ย ย ย Active Life, Accident, & Health license. FINRA Series 6 or 7 securities registration is a plus.
ย ย ย ย Strong interpersonal, communication, and effective presentation/training skills.
ย ย ย ย Strong customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills, including adaptability to different personality types.
ย ย ย ย Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
ย ย ย ย Self-motivated with the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively, having a desire to be part of a cohesive team.
ย ย ย ย Willingness to learn and self- teach.
ย ย ย ย Positive attitude and ambition to help others succeed.

Compensation: The base annual salary for this role is $50,000-$65,000, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
