This is one of the most important roles at Nexus. The Clinical Success Partner is the face of Nexus on the unit — an embedded clinical presence who earns the trust of frontline nurses, unit leaders, and executive teams alike. This is not a project management or account management role. It is a relationship-first, outcomes-driven position for a nurse who can walk into a busy inpatient unit, understand its culture, speak its language, and guide its people through meaningful, lasting change.

About the Role

The CSP serves as Nexus’s on-site clinical and operational presence throughout implementation, adoption, and long-term sustainability of the Nexus inpatient unit operating system. You will be embedded within the client’s environment — attending huddles, walking units, sitting with nurses, and meeting with leaders — without formal authority over any member of the client’s staff.

What you will have instead is something more durable: the trust, credibility, and relational influence needed to persuade nurses, charge nurses, unit managers, and CNOs to align around a shared vision. You will succeed not by directing people, but by understanding them — their pressures, their skepticism, their workflows, and their goals — and meeting them there.

This role demands clinical depth, emotional intelligence, operational instinct, and the rare ability to be equally at home at a nursing station and in a C-suite. The CSP is the linchpin between Nexus’s technology and the human transformation it is designed to support.

Reporting & Structure

The CSP reports directly to Nexus’s internal leadership and operates as an embedded partner within the client health system. Your primary client-side relationships will span:

• Frontline and charge nurses — the people whose daily experience you are here to improve

• Unit managers and directors — your operational counterparts who own the unit’s performance

• Nursing and clinical informatics leadership — your strategic allies in systems and workflow change

• Executive nursing leadership (CNO, CNE) — the executive sponsors who define success at the system level

You have no formal authority over client staff. Your influence is earned through expertise, presence, and genuine partnership.

What You Will Do

Build Trust Across Every Level of the Organization

• Establish yourself as a credible, respected clinical presence on the unit within the first 30 days

• Develop genuine working relationships with frontline nurses — not as a vendor representative, but as a clinical colleague who understands their world

• Engage unit managers and directors as operational partners, not external consultants

• Build confidence with nursing and executive leadership through consistent follow-through, honest communication, and visible results

• Navigate the political and cultural dynamics of the client organization with professionalism and discretion

Drive Adoption Through Influence, Not Authority

• Lead the human side of implementation: listen for resistance, name it honestly, and address it directly

• Coach frontline staff and charge nurses through workflow changes, using clinical context and peer-level communication

• Partner with unit leaders to reinforce accountability for adoption in ways that preserve frontline trust

• Translate the clinical and operational value of the Nexus model into language that resonates at every level

• Serve as the primary escalation point for workflow, platform, and adoption challenges — and resolve them

Own the Implementation & Optimization Lifecycle

• Lead on-site clinical implementation, training, and go-live support across assigned units

• Maintain consistent unit presence, including participation in staff huddles, shift changes, and rounding

• Provide real-time guidance and troubleshooting for bedside nurses and virtual nursing teams

• Identify workflow gaps and optimization opportunities and drive improvements collaboratively

• Maintain reliable availability for clinical and operational support, with appropriate Nexus backup coverage

• Be a representative to enhance the confidence and growth of the overall program(s)

Translate Data Into Shared Accountability

• Track and interpret clinical, operational, and experience outcomes related to safety, efficiency, throughput, and clinician satisfaction

• Conduct structured data reviews with unit and Nexus leadership to identify trends and opportunities

• Create and distribute clear, compelling communications — including monthly updates and outcome summaries — that connect data to the goals of each audience

• Use outcome data to sustain momentum, reinforce adoption, and tell a credible story of progress to executive leadership

Sustain the Model & Inform the Product

• Serve as the clinical voice back to Nexus — your unit-level insight will directly inform product development and operational refinements

• Support long-term sustainability of the care model through proactive engagement, continuous improvement, and deep relationship investment

• Identify risks to sustainability early and escalate them with recommended solutions

• Occasional travel for Nexus internal meetings, partner site visits, and strategic business development conversations

Who You Are

You are a nurse who has spent years at the bedside and carries that credibility into every conversation. You understand what a 12-hour shift on a busy med-surg floor actually feels like — and you use that knowledge to build bridges, not walls.

You are comfortable with ambiguity and energized by complexity. You do not need formal authority to lead. You earn influence through expertise, consistency, and genuine care for the people you work with. When you face resistance, you get curious rather than defensive.

You communicate differently at a nursing station than you do in a conference room — and you do both exceptionally well. You are data-literate but not data-dependent; you know when a chart matters and when a conversation is what the moment calls for.

You are deeply motivated by the idea that nursing can be better — for patients and for nurses — and you want to be part of making that happen.

Qualifications

Required

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active license
• BSN required; MSN or equivalent strongly preferred
• Minimum 5 years of acute care clinical experience
• Experience with EMR implementation, optimization, or clinical informatics
• Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships in complex organizations
• Strong oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with high accountability

Preferred

• 2+ years of charge, or supervisory experience
• Experience with virtual nursing, remote monitoring, or digital health
• Exposure to AI-enabled clinical tools or healthcare technology adoption
• Project management or process improvement training (PMP, Lean, Six Sigma)
• Experience influencing without authority in a matrixed or client-facing environment
• Prior involvement in change management, go-live support, or clinical transformation
• Strong writing skills: process documentation, training materials, executive updates
