Job description

Job Title: Energy Trading Software Engineer - Endur
Location: On-Site Houston, Texas
Employment Type: Contract
About the Role
We're hiring an experienced ETRM Software Engineer with strong expertise in OpenLink Endur to support our North American Crude and Products Trading business. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining trading systems that span front-to-back operations, ensuring reliable and efficient delivery of trading services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
  • Design, prototype, and implement enhancements in Endur using JVS and OpenComponents.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle: requirements, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on system upgrades, patching, and performance improvements.
  • Participate in DevOps practices, including backlog management, automated testing, and continuous delivery.
  • Provide support across front-to-back trading scenarios, including trade capture, risk management, scheduling, operations, and settlements.

Required Experience
  • 5-7 years of total IT experience, with a focus on Endur in a corporate environment.
  • Proven experience in application development and support within trading IT.
  • Hands-on experience with ETRM/CTRM systems and trading workflows.

Technical Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of OpenLink Endur v11+, including JVS and OpenComponents.
  • Strong scripting skills in SQL and T-SQL, with familiarity in Oracle databases.
  • Experience with KX Grid Enabled Scripts and Operational Services.
  • Proficiency in Java, .NET, Informatica, and performance tuning of SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, VSTS, and GIT.
