Fox TV Stations
FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION

KTVU FOX 2 is seeking individuals that have a respect for journalism and want to be part of the station's best in class reporting, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes! Be part of a winning team with a diverse culture that believes in supporting, mentoring, and training our staff. We are searching for an experienced ENG Photographer.
What You'll Do:
KTVU is seeking a News ENG Photographer to work with a team of journalists covering stories in the Bay Area. Photographer will work with reporters to craft daily stories, execute live shots, provide pictures and video to digital teams and provide information to the assignment desk and producers. The ideal candidate will have a curiosity for their community and the world around them; be creative in developing unique and engaging content for our broadcast, streaming and digital platforms; and be competitive in creating the best coverage and challenging themselves to be different to continually elevate KTVU's product.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Capture high-quality video footage for daily newscasts, special projects, and breaking news coverage.
  • Work closely with reporters and producers to visually enhance storytelling with compelling visuals and sound.
  • Edit video content for daily newscasts using non-linear editing systems such as Edius or similar software.
  • Collaborate with reporters and producers to assemble cohesive news stories that meet station standards and deadlines.
  • Ensure edited content is accurate, engaging, and adheres to newsroom style and brand guidelines.
  • Manage and organize raw video files, archive footage, and edited content for future use.
  • Set up and operate live transmission equipment, including microwave, satellite, or cellular bonded systems (e.g., LiveU, TVU, etc).
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in the field and maintain communication with the control room during live broadcasts.
  • Respond quickly to breaking news events and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to meet newsroom needs.
  • Adhere to all newsroom safety protocols, especially during inclement weather and hazardous situations.
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, reporters, and the community while representing the station professionally.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, industry trends, and best practices in news production.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. Minimum of three years of professional News Camera experience is required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have an excellent driving record. A professional level of skill in operation of ENG live trucks, ENG field cameras and field editing systems, including non-linear and associated photographic equipment is required. Assignments may include out of market and overnight travel, and may involve early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet newsroom demands. Other duties assigned as deemed appropriate and necessary.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $53.64 per hour. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
