OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY
Fox TV Stations
FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION
KDFW FOX 4, the news leader in North Texas, is looking for a high-energy, creative News Producer to join our award-winning team.

This move represents a massive investment in our future, featuring the latest broadcasting technology and a workspace designed for the next generation of storytelling.
The Role:
As a News Producer, you are the primary architect of our linear and streaming news content. We are looking for an active decision-maker who can lead a team and execute high-level coverage under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Show Production: Responsible for producing all elements of linear and streaming newscasts, including leads, stories, teases, and breakouts.
  • Breaking News: Act as an experienced leader in the coverage and execution of live and breaking news events.
  • Live Stream Management: Produce and manage live streaming coverage of breaking news, live events, press conferences, and original programming for FOX LOCAL apps and social platforms.
  • Editorial Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrate strong editorial knowledge while collaborating with newsroom, digital, social, and production teams to align coverage and workflows across platforms.
  • Audience Engagement & Distribution: Distribute and optimize content across the FOX LOCAL apps, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and emerging platforms with an emphasis on growth and engagement.
  • Technical Integration: Must be capable of using news computer systems and be familiar with television and digital production techniques.
  • General Duties: Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.

What You Bring to the Team
We are looking for a journalist with excellent news judgment and the ability to lead a newsroom.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or Communications required.
  • Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of television news experience in a medium to major market.
  • Writing & Production: Strong writing and show production skills are essential.
  • Critical Skills: Excellent communication skills, solid news judgment, and strong research/data recovery skills are required.
  • Deadline Performance: Must be capable of working and performing well under intense deadline pressure.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $70,000.00-75,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
