Job description

The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Manager, Marketing Project Management to lead a team of project managers and helping to provide creative support for our local, national and corporate teams, as well as third-party vendor relationships. Works with the Senior Manager of Project Management to develop and adhere to annual operating budgets. Requires leading the creative production workflow, creative resource capacity, and overall project needs, in additional to ensuring the quality, timeliness, and accurate execution of projects based on the creative brief, for both the internal creative team as well as third party creative vendors.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Works closely with Senior Managers of Creative and Senior Manager of Project Management to holistically represent the creative coordination discipline
  • Help to leads the relationship and scope of work with all third-party vendors, including creative outsource partners, stock photography houses, etc.
  • Help to lead the creation and alignment of the annual budget for the creative team with guidance and input Senior Managers of Creative and Senior Manager of Project Management to ultimately share back (and make recommendations) with the Senior Director of Creative.
  • Responsible for helping to create the annual budget and monitor the budget on a monthly basis and providing analysis and recommendations based on how the budget is pacing and how the agency’s operations impact the budget.
  • Help to ensure that both the creative and project management teams are adhering to established design SLA’s for each work project type
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years experience in project management
  • Experience working with creative teams
  • Experience in order management systems
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Exceptional at being an independent thinker and problem solver
  • Ability to manage deadlines for multiple projects, overall workload and creative resources
  • Ability to communicate project objectives and goals clearly to team
  • Ability to monitor resource allocation and effectiveness
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and resources in a fast paced
  • Experience working in a digital agency (in project and/or account management)
  • Familiarity with Media and Broadcast advertising sales and ad operations
  • Experience working with multi-disciplined teams in a creative environment
  • Experience working with and facilitating creative teams
  • Experience working with digital ad sales (display advertising)
