Job description

Soar Autism Center is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive life-shaping services that help them thrive. As we expand into the Maryland region, we are entering a new chapter of that journey by bringing a model refined across multiple markets into a community where early team members will play a defining role. This includes experience from our work in Colorado and Arizona, along with our recent joint venture with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
This is a ground-floor opportunity to help shape how a Soar center operates locally, practice and learn clinical approach alongside leadership, and build a culture rooted in collaboration, high expectations, and meaningful impact. You will be supported by the systems, training, and clinical model we have developed over time. We prioritize early intervention, integrated care, and a play-based ABA model grounded in the Early Start Denver Model, meeting the needs of each unique child and family.
Compensation and role design:
  • Base pay: $105,500.00 - $115,500.00/year. Annual performance bonus potential up to $5,000. Additional compensation beyond the range for achieving clinical certifications.
  • Bonus: Up to $10,000 sign on bonus, based on start date and location.
  • Support and training: Deep onboarding and ongoing training in our ESDM-based care model, with close clinical leadership support
  • Clinical growth: Multiple paths to grow as a clinician including center/regional leadership and specialized roles
  • Culture that lives out our Values: High Expectations that raise the bar, Collaboration that brings us together as one team, and Fun you can feel the moment you walk into our centers

What you will be doing:
  • The Clinical Trainer is responsible for new trainee (BT/RBT) growth and development at one to two local centers after trainees complete one week of centralized training
  • Support initial and ongoing RBT competency evaluations for new and existing RBTs
  • Support 3-4 case supervisors as they grow their clinical and decision making skills
  • Provide weekly hours of billable supervision, focused on providing supervision to trainees during their first 6 weeks at Soar, and case supervisors preparing for the BCBA exam
  • Host weekly group training and discussion sessions for new trainees at their home center
  • Build trainees skill sets in ESDM practices and ABA strategies, including joint activity routines, responding to challenging behavior, data collection/documentation, and evidence based teaching strategies
  • Completes monthly STNH ESDM Fidelity Checks for RBTs
  • Hosts a section of the MDC bi-weekly to monthly that communicates with BCBAs what is needed from them to ensure adherence to supervision requirements
  • Organize and host quarterly, center-level continuing education events for BCBAs and RBTs
  • Collaborate with the Partner Clinician and Center Operations Director regarding RBT performance and needed performance improvement initiatives
  • Act as a clinical leader in the center on days when the Partner Clinician is not present
  • Achieve ESDM certification within 2 years of starting your role as a Clinical Trainer

What we offer:
  • Implement a unique model of ABA therapy! Learn a play-based form of ABA therapy for young kids, the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM). You'll receive training, continuing education, and work with national experts on ESDM implementation. Soar also covers the cost of ESDM certification for interested clinicians
  • Real multidisciplinary collaboration! Work closely with speech, occupational therapy, psychology, and/or LPCs in our center via client overlaps and weekly interdisciplinary care meetings.
  • Opportunities for career advancement as a clinician in a rapidly growing company
  • Be a part of an organization working to advance the standard of autism therapy
  • Work in a values-driven environment that deeply cares both about doing high-quality, ethical work
  • A culture that cares about you! Shout outs, boo yahs, and staff appreciations for your hard work
  • Great company benefits!
    • Quality medical, dental, and vision plans
    • A company 401K with company contribution
    • 10 company holidays plus 15 additional days off
    • Short term disability for all staff covered by Soar

What You Have
  • Minimum of a master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field
  • Current BCBA certification and active Maryland BCBA license
  • Preferred candidates have a background in child development, early childhood education, or a related field
  • 3 or more years of experience as Board Certified Behavior Analyst
