Job description

$16.50-$24.00 per hour, commensurate with education, experience, and credentials + benefits for full time employees (30+ hours per week). Work for one of the only center-based ABA programs in NC and a non-profit that gives back to our community. Our cutting edge campus features a full diagnostic and therapeutic clinic and a non-public school, serving preschool through high school. Our campus includes a 26,000 square foot clinic building with additional ABA therapy space, vocational training spaces, community skills labs (mock doctor, dentist, barber, shopping), and a mini-apartment for independent living skills practice!ABC of NC believes in investing in its employees for long-term success.

Great hours - no evenings or weekends. Job Summary: Provides 1:1 and/or group teaching or ABA therapy for autistic children and teens, attends meetings and provides input into the client's clinical/educational plan, plans and prepares for instruction, and provides required documentation for service delivery. Position is required to participate in subbing and provide campus-wide support.

Key Responsibilities: Ensures child's physical safety Provides 1:1 or group teaching for children with autism spectrum disorder Group instructors may have additional responsibilities including: Conducts assessments (PICS, SPA, VB-MAPP, ABLLSR, AFLS) Identifies IEP goals from a variety of sources Generates data collection systems in Central Reach Generates progress reports in Central Reach Conducts caregiver meetings Coordinates with inter-disciplinary team members (ABA, OT, SLP, SOAR) Coordinates with partner/local school systems Provides support for clients who may engage in aggressive, destructive, self-injurious, unsanitary, and or verbally inappropriate behavior Uses curricula and teaching methodologies/strategies as outlined by supervisors to teach a variety of skill types such as play, communication, self-help and academic Demonstrates a minimum level of competency when providing instruction as evidenced by a score of 80% or higher on all fidelity checklists within 6 months of employment Assists Tier 2 and Tier 3 Instructors with the development of lesson plans Incorporates technology into instruction Recognizes issues/questions to bring to Tier 2, Tier 3, Assistant Program Supervisor or Program Supervisor's attention Collects data during teaching and completes documentation accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with insurance requirements Helps with preparation and organization of teaching materials/supplies for client programs Communicates client programming updates needed in Central Reach to Tier 2 instructors (e.g. mastered program targets) Provides support to colleagues by responding to requests for assistance with client behavior support, clean-up, preparing or retrieving materials, or providing short breaks Acts as a substitute RBT/Teacher when coverage is needed for clients Supervises classroom interns and volunteers Works with individuals with diverse needs/backgrounds (e.g. age/disability, ethnicity, gender expression/identity, immigration status, marital/relationship status, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status and obtains any needed training in these areas in order to remain culturally responsive in their service provision

Attends and contribute to team meetings/debriefings/workshops Attends annual required abuse risk management training; adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising clients; report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations; and follow mandated abuse reporting requirements Attends and/or complete all assigned employee trainings May serve as school shadow and travel to child's school or peer group May travel to child's home as itinerant teacher May provide in-home 1:1 ABA therapy and telehealth services May provide distance learning for school and preschool programs Participates in regular communication with client families Must comply with all ABC of NC policies and procedures Promotes positive company morale Performs other duties as assigned
