What is new product development?

New Product Development (NPD) is the process of bringing a new product to market, from the initial idea generation through research, design, development, and launch. This process often involves identifying market needs, conceptualizing product features, designing prototypes, testing, and planning for production and marketing. NPD helps companies stay competitive by continually offering innovative products that meet changing consumer demands.
