The New Product Specialist role drives sales and provides outstanding service by effectively matching Members with AAA's comprehensive product offerings.

This is a full-time, onsite position @ our Yuba City branch. Saturday availability is needed.

Essential Functions

  • The New Product Specialist acts in a sales capacity; actively promotes cross sales referrals, sales and branch promotions

  • Engage with the customer to identifying the most suitable product offerings

  • Actively approach incoming customers and Act as Subject Matter Expert in the branch for all new Product and Bundle Offerings

  • Effectively communicate AAA new products and value propositions with team members

  • Achieve monthly assigned sales goals

  • Consistently follow-up on leads and unsold quotes by phone and email. Makes outbound calls for lead generation

  • Actively works with Branch Team Members to generate referrals

  • Understands and actively promotes products and services to achieve individual goals in support of meeting organization goals and objectives

  • Overcomes obstacles that create barriers to Team Member or branch efforts

  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and proposes solutions

  • Acts as an agent for change while promoting AAA's guiding principles and core values

  • Exhibits AAA guiding principles and core values

Knowledge & Skills

  • Natural closer who thrives in a sales driven environment

  • Proven experience in inside or outside sales, with the ability to upsell and close

  • Lead generation and proactive prospecting

  • Strong cold calling and follow-up skills

  • Confident in negotiating and building Member and customer value

  • Demonstrates sales and service skills. Able to effectively interact, face-to-face, with new, prospective and existing Members.

  • Ability to multitask in response to requests, requirements and Member/Team Member expectations.

  • Genuine passion for the sales discipline and for helping clients succeed

  • Good computer skills, proficient in both reading and basic arithmetic

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in person and over the phone

  • Ability to accept feedback and correct course as necessary


Education & Experience/Licenses & Certifications

  • Minimum Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED

    • 1-2 years of work experience with a preference for inside or outside sales

  • Preferred Requirements:

    • Experience working with sales and service standards and goals

    • Bonding and fingerprinting may be required

    • Current & valid drivers license with a clean driving history

Working Environment/ Minimum Physical Requirements

Works in a variety of office environments where standing, walking or sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation may be required for extended periods of time. May travel by car, plane or other form of transportation to attend business meetings or conferences. May be required to work in one or more locations in a defined service area. Approximately 50-80 percent of the time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.

Starting rates vary by region. Ranges start from $25.17 up to $29.97 hourly. This role is subject to an incentive plan that includes commissions. We expect most employees to earn between $0 - $15,000 in incentives annually, contingent on performance.
