Job Description Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented New Business Support Associate to join our Life New Business team. In this role, you will provide essential support to ensure the smooth processing of new life insurance applications and policies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the insurance industry and gain valuable experience.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the processing and customer service of new life insurance applications, including data entry, document verification, and agent calls.

  • Communicates with clients and agents to gather necessary information and resolve any application issues.

  • Maintains accurate records and update internal systems with application status and client information.

  • Collaborates with underwriters and other team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of applications.

  • Provides exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and providing updates on application status.

  • Assists with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents.

  • Participates in training sessions and team huddles to stay updated on company policies and procedures.

  • Participate in team meetings and Lean continuous improvement initiatives.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education:Bachelor's degree in business, finance, actuarial science, or a related field preferred.

Experience:1-2 years' experience in processing or customer service type work preferred.

Knowledge, Abilities andSkills:

  • The product and system restrictions for when application details are missing or hard to read

  • Ability to de-escalate agent issues and handle accordingly

  • Ability to properly identify and sort complex firm/agent submitted completed application documents

  • Expertise in identifying unique agent/firm/payment relationship connections

  • Ability to use internally maintained systems and databases

  • Ability to identify correct external firm and internal sales partners
