The New Life Recovery & Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. This full-time position allows you to provide high-quality mental health services to your clients from the comfort of your own home. As a Mental Health Counselor in our telehealth setting, you will primarily provide services through virtual platforms. We also provide administrative assistance for scheduling and billing to help you focus more on your clients.

• Conduct thorough assessments and intake evaluations to identify clients' mental health concerns and determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Deliver individual therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Collaborate closely with clients to set realistic therapeutic goals and track their progress over the course of treatment.
• Provide teletherapy options for clients who prefer virtual consultations, ensuring accessibility for diverse populations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress reports in line with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training and workshops to stay current with best practices and emerging treatment methodologies.

The Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse client population, including adolescents, adults, and families facing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. A vital aspect of this role is to cultivate a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable to express their thoughts and emotions.

• A current and valid license in Arizona as an LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is mandatory.
• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly and foster trusting relationships with clients.
• Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and challenges are essential.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills to effectively navigate a caseload while ensuring quality client care.

• Prior experience in teletherapy or virtual counseling settings.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques and interventions ranging across different populations and issues.
• Experience with case management and collaborative treatment planning.
• Knowledge of local resources and referral systems in Arizona.
