Job description

PURPOSE STATEMENT 
Responsible for the design, installation, implementation and management of the district-wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN). Maintain an interactive delivery system for all faculty members throughout the district. Develop, implement and coordinate guidelines for use of computer equipment. Work closely with vendors and school facilities to ensure that automation and network protocol configurations are in place.

  • Provide School-based support.
  • Responsible for device component installation and implementation.
  • Insures all components meet the District standards.
  • Activates security profiles as approved by the IT Director.
  • Maintains a troubleshooting log.
  • Troubleshoots both new and remodeled structures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Android and Linux) peripherals and networking technology.
  • Experience with networking and telecommunication systems.
  • Technical experience with LAN/WAN networking; knowledge of and understanding of TCP/IP Protocol.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand technical documentation.
  • Must have transportation to commute to all schools.
  • Must be in good academic and behavior standards.
  • Must have a valid work permit from the High School

 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Currently enrolled in High School or College with good academic and behavior standards.
