Job description

Overview
The Hospice RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning and delegating care based on patient needs. Evaluates the patients response to care and the attainment of or progress towards patient outcomes. Coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed
Qualifications
Education required: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Education preferred: BSN
License, certification and/or registration: Current Alabama or Multistate Nursing license required. BLS required or obtained during orientation period. Must maintain current drivers license and automobile insurance.
Experience: Minimum of one year experience in nursing. Experience in hospice nursing preferred.
Additional skills/abilities: Ability to handle conflict with superior customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritizing and changing tasks frequently. Must be able to lift, position, and/or transfer patients. Must have visual acuity and hearing to perform required nursing skills. Duties also require prolonged or considerable working or standing, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and/or crouching. Strong working knowledge of computer based clinical programs and office software.
