Position: Sr Software Developer
Location: Wayne, PA
Description of work to be performed:
Work under the direction of the VP, Information Technology. Responsible for working with Database Administrators, Business Analysts, other developers and business stakeholders to understand business requirements to design and develop software to satisfy them. Design and develop software solutions in a Microsoft .Net environment using industry best practices and standards. Provide architectural direction to the development team, and advise IT management on architecture and technology direction as needed. Collaborate with stakeholders on software requirements. Research and recommend new technologies. Deliver software iteratively and make continuous improvements based on customer feedback. Work as part of a software development team, and share best practices and experience. Strong problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills. Excellent customer service and customer interaction skills. Able to proactively follow issues through to resolution. Work as a member of a team and be willing to share expertise with others. Comfortable working with business stakeholders on a frequent basis.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Position requires a Bachelor's degree*, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field and 5 years experience in a related occupation. *Employer will accept the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree based upon a combination of education and experience. The position also requires: 5 years of experience developing .Net web applications using technologies including C#, Entity Framework, ASP.net, .NET Code, Bootstrap, React, SQL Server, Oracle, REST/SOAP services, XML and JSON; 5 years experience with logging frameworks including Log4Net, Serilog, monitoring tools including New Relic and Splunk and security vulnerability tools including Snyk and Veracode; 4 years experience using deployment/CI/CD tools including Jenkins and Copado and source code management tools including GIT; 5 years experience with Server configuration, upgrades and IIS configuration; 5 years experience with various tools and frameworks including Agile project management tools including Jira or Rally, development tools including Visual Studio or VS Code, reporting frameworks including Active Reports, Unit Testing frameworks including nUnit or MSTest, Survey tools including Qualtrics and Google Analytics; and 5 years experience integrating with middleware systems including Biztalk or Boomi and with SharePoint. Role is 100% remote. Telecommuting permitted. Position reports into the company headquarters in Wayne, PA.
