A high-performing, community-focused healthcare organization in the coastal Maryland/Delaware region is hiring a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent, full-time role. This opportunity is open to new graduate nurses and offers strong onboarding, nurse residency support, tuition assistance, and long-term career growth within a stable and supportive clinical environment.
The Med Surg RN provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions while practicing in accordance with ANA Standards and the Nursing Process.
POSITION OVERVIEW- Permanent, full-time role
- Inpatient Medical-Surgical unit
- Broad adult patient population
- Strong support for new graduate nurses
- Collaborative, team-based care environment
- Day, evening, night, or rotating shifts per departmental policy
- Weekend coverage required based on unit needs
- Scheduled off at least three holidays per year
- Occasional overtime may be required
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, renal failure, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Act as a patient advocate and support patient and family education
- Utilize clinical equipment and technology competently
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of permanent residency
- American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
- New graduates encouraged to apply
- CMSRN preferred but not required
