Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) – Coastal Maryland / Delaware

Direct Hire | Full-Time | Multiple Shifts Available

A high-performing, community-focused healthcare organization in the coastal Maryland/Delaware region is hiring a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent, full-time role. This opportunity is open to new graduate nurses and offers strong onboarding, nurse residency support, tuition assistance, and long-term career growth within a stable and supportive clinical environment.

The Med Surg RN provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions while practicing in accordance with ANA Standards and the Nursing Process.

POSITION OVERVIEW
  • Permanent, full-time role
  • Inpatient Medical-Surgical unit
  • Broad adult patient population
  • Strong support for new graduate nurses

SHIFT DETAILS
  • Day, evening, night, or rotating shifts per departmental policy
  • Weekend coverage required based on unit needs
  • Scheduled off at least three holidays per year
  • Occasional overtime may be required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, renal failure, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
  • Act as a patient advocate and support patient and family education
  • Utilize clinical equipment and technology competently
  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
REQUIREMENTS
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of permanent residency
  • American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
  • New graduates encouraged to apply
  • CMSRN preferred but not required
