Job description

PRH is looking for a team member to join our ICU Department in the role of Registered Nurse. This position is PRN (as needed). This person will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the patient care team...….

POSITION SUMMARY (ICU)
The Intensive Care Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the patient care team. The RN provides nursing care for adults and elderly through physical, psychological and social assessments and then formulates a nursing diagnosis, and develops an individualized plan of care. The RN manages, organizes, and provides direct patient care to complex critically ill patients incorporating clinical decision-making and prioritization of activities. Education of patient’s family and other health care team members is provided by the RN, incorporating health maintenance, disease process and discharge planning. May be required to work on other units according to the distribution of staff and patients and individual competency.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Baccalaureate degree preferred
  • Valid nursing license as recognized by state of Wisconsin.
  • Current CPR or obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Current ACLS or obtain within 6 months of hire
  • A minimum of one-two years of experience on a Medical/Surgical unit or an equivalent is preferred.
  • CCRN preferred

FTE: PRN (as needed)

PRN Shift Requirements:

  • One weekday per month
  • At least 16 weekend hours per month
  • At least one 8-hour holiday per year

    Shift: PM/Nights 7pm-7am.
