Job description

About the role:

As a Data Scientist - New Grad Leadership Program you will work in the AI & Innovation team and work with multiple teams with growing responsibility. You will rotate through multiple departments such as:

  • AI And Data Infrastructure: Data & AI
  • Innovation Portfolio
  • AI Strategy, Governance, and Business Partners

You will report to the senior staff application security manager and work a hybrid role based in Cranberry, PA. Only local candidates please. No sponsorship is available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Through a series of rotations, lead projects to deliver value across multiple departments and global locations. This is achieved through planning, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork. Meanwhile, gain hands-on experience and develop an understanding of different teams.
  • For each rotation/department, develop an understanding of the strategic direction of the department and the business environment and evaluate how business strategies align with the direction of the business.
  • Identify areas of improvement and use problem-solving and data analysis skills to propose solutions to enhance the efficiency of each rotational department.
  • Develop a foundation of leadership
  • Use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced digital technologies to improve Westinghouse products, services, and processes, driving innovation for long-term operation and new nuclear builds worldwide.
  • Collaborate within a global AI & Innovation team, partnering with diverse departments to deliver strategic value and promote digital transformation across projects.

Program Completion and Career Path: Upon successful completion of the two-year Catalyst rotational program, the participant will transition into a permanent position. You will work with the AI & Innovation team, Data & AI. The experience gained through rotations will use strategic impact and long-term career growth.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences with an emphasis on data systems
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities well defined on your resume
  • Outstanding academic achievement
  • Flexibility to relocate based on the job rotations, potentially including an international experience such as Madrid, Spain
  • Knowledge of digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI), with the ability to identify and apply these solutions to create value.
  • Business-oriented mindset to connect technological capabilities with strategic goals and operational needs across the organization.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $65,700 to $73,000 per year.
