Job Summary:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management and growth of the Real Estate sales channel.
  • Position will also support other relationships and projects within the Retail Partnerships and Channel Development efforts for the Mass Market retail natural gas portfolio.
  • The New Business Analyst with to 10 years of experience is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and pursuing new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue for the organization.
  • This role involves market research, strategic planning, client engagement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.


Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities by Competency
Functional Expertise:

  • Responsible for growing the mover/real estate channel by increasing and maximizing the number of real estate program participants and referrals resulting in new customer acquisitions.
  • Recommending then implementing approved strategy to achieve this goal.
  • Lead program sales/support efforts.
  • Initiate and conduct face-to-face presentations to introduce program and benefits to brokers/offices/agents and target real estate influencers.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to onboard new partners and members through orientations, training, CE classes, team meetings and other opportunities.
  • Develop and facilitate opportunities to drive program engagement and results.
  • Efforts may include monthly call campaigns, tradeshows and industry event participation and seasonal campaigns, contests or events.
  • Provide support for the marketing needs for the real estate channel from development through distribution of print and digital communication/marketing campaigns.
  • This includes program kits, email, direct mail, video, presentation materials, etc.
  • Work with agencies and vendors to dovetail existing brand messaging to promote program awareness and engagement.
  • Responsible for web-based administration of the real estate referral/rewards program, including onboarding, approvals, inquiries and awarding participants.
  • Recommend and coordinate improvements for program related referred customer-facing landing pages and experience, including ease of enrollment, and effectively capturing referral data.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day implementation and results of the program.
  • Responsible for overall engagement to drive customer acquisition and reporting and analysis of KPIs to ensure program is on track to meet set goals.
  • Recommending solutions to drive program growth.
  • Ability to clearly communicate objectives and coordinate all aspects of integrated campaigns to deadlines and on budget.


Market Research:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential new business opportunities, industry trends, and competitor analysis.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the organization's market presence and revenue streams.

Client Engagement:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, as well as identify and engage with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Business Development:

  • Identify and evaluate new business prospects, partnerships, and collaborations, including mergers and acquisitions if applicable.

Lead Generation:

  • Generate leads and opportunities through networking, prospecting, and outreach efforts, both online and offline.

Proposal Development:

  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to potential clients or partners.

Financial Analysis:

  • Analyze financial data and metrics to assess the potential profitability of new business ventures or partnerships.

Negotiation:

  • Negotiate contracts, agreements, and terms with clients, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the successful initiation and implementation of new business initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Track and report on the progress of new business efforts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.


Business Acumen:

  • Knowledge of the overall business and ability to think ahead of obstacles and challenges while recommending acquisition strategy.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate data to identify opportunities, recommend solutions or problem solve.
  • Able to document processes and outline program guidelines to align with business rules.

Education, Certifications/Licenses:
Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or seven years progressive experience in sales and program management

Related Work Experience:

Required:

  • Five years of experience in program management or account management. Utility and/or Real Estate a plus.
  • Possess strong verbal communication and customer service skills.


Preferred:

  • Experience in a channel or program development for retail or deregulated company
  • Experience managing referral, affinity programs and/or loyalty programs
  • Experience developing affiliate marketing programs or digital/mobile marketing
  • Experience with social media or creating online communities


Specific Skills & Knowledge:

Required:

  • Exceptional presentation, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to influence action.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Work well under pressure and effectively manage multiple projects in a timely and well-organized fashion.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Travel required (~60% travel)
  • Must be able to travel to customer location with personal vehicle.
  • Will be working in an office environment.
  • Physical requirements include standing for presentations, and transporting, set up and break down of banners/backdrops and giveaway items for sales events/tradeshows.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in new business development, strategic consulting, or a related role.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in market research tools and CRM software.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with a focus on results.
  • Position will be hybrid (Monday, Thursday (in the office).
  • Tuesday and Wednesday (in the field – as this is a Sales job).
  • Friday (Work from home).
  • Occasional weekend (contingent upon Events/Trade Shows, etc. that are happening.)
  • Some travel as well.
