• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine the social, emotional, and environmental needs of clients.
• Monitor progress and outcomes through regular follow-up assessments and collaboration with team members.
• Offer essential support to families, equipping them with resources to enhance their caregiving abilities.
• Build trusting relationships with children and families, creating a nurturing atmosphere conducive to personal development.
• Implement evidence-based practices, including the use of the coaching model and natural environment teaching.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and practices to protect employees and clients in the hospice setting.
• Document all interactions, assessments, and progress notes accurately to maintain a comprehensive client record.

This position primarily involves working with children and their families in a hospice context. You will focus on providing specialized support that addresses both the emotional and practical aspects of care. Our approach seeks to empower families by offering tailored interventions that respect their unique circumstances and enhance child development.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with children in early intervention strategies or social work settings.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitating clear interactions with families and colleagues.
• A respectful attitude towards diverse backgrounds and an ability to establish collaborative relationships with team members.

• Experience in hospice care or palliative care settings is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and interventions for children's mental health and family dynamics.
• Experience working within interdisciplinary teams to improve client outcomes.

New Dawn Wellness offers competitive annual salaries ranging from $120,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
