Wellstar Health System is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Neurosurgeon to join our growing team at North Fulton Hospital in a clinical leadership capacity. This is a distinctive opportunity to serve as the neurosurgical leader for the Wellstar North Fulton market - anchoring a Comprehensive Stroke Center, dedicated Neuro Critical Care Unit, and Level 2 Trauma Center - while building a high-volume elective spine program and overseeing medical group operations for neurosurgery. Ideal for an experienced, spine-focused neurosurgeon ready to shape the future of a high-growth, community-based hospital within one of Georgia's largest integrated health systems.
About the Opportunity
  • Serve as the clinical leader for the full neurosurgical program at North Fulton Hospital, with a primary focus on spine
  • Join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with strong administrative and clinical support

  • Active role in program growth, quality initiatives, and strategic planning

Leadership Responsibilities
  • Serve as the clinical leader for neurosurgical services at North Fulton Hospital and across the North Fulton market
  • Partner with hospital administration on program development, growth strategy, and operational excellence
  • Drive development of an elective spine footprint and medical group operations for neurosurgery
  • Mentor APPs and clinical staff; foster a culture of excellence and collaboration
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement, peer review, and patient safety initiatives
  • Represent neurosurgery as a key stakeholder in service line development across the Wellstar network

Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
  • Eligible for or currently holding a Georgia medical license
  • Spine-focused practice with demonstrated high-volume experience
  • Demonstrated experience or interest in clinical leadership and program development preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care
