Job description

This regional medical center in Valdosta, GA is seeking a board certified/board eligible Neurosurgeon to provide spine and/or cranial focused general neurosurgery services.  We have any exceptional opportunity for a spine and/or cranial focused general neurosurgeon. Presently, we have two neurosurgeons providing best in class quality healthcare to our community. 

The Medical Center is the most comprehensive health system serving South Georgia and North Florida. It operates four hospitals across Lowndes, Berrien, and Lanier counties. The system also operates ambulance services, an extensive medical office network, a cancer center, hospice facility, retirement center, skilled nursing facility, imaging centers and urgent cares. Service lines of regional prominence include heart and vascular, stroke, trauma, cancer, orthopedics, surgery, and women and infants.

 

Position Description:

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Call is 1:3, includes weekend call
  • Neurosurgery clinic located on SGMC main campus
  • Level III Trauma Center
  • All surgeries performed on main campus
  • Hospital based employment, shared call and interest in cranial cases is preferred

Qualifications:

  • BC/BE by the American Board of Neurological Surgery
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia
  • Experience with the EPIC is a plus.
