Job description

Neurology Technician

Department: Neurology; Work Hours: Part time, 7.5 hours per week, coverage at Beaver and Sewickley campus. Primarily daylight with no weekends.

Basic Function: The Neurology Technician is responsible for the provision of EEG testing for the inpatient and outpatient population. Presents the completed exam for interpretation by the physician. Performs the clerical duties in support of the services provided.

Qualifications: High school graduate/GED required. Must have technical knowledge gained through successful completion of an EEG training program or through documented comparable experience in a medical facility. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred: Registered through the American Board of Registered EEG Technologists, (ABRET) or registry eligible. Previous neurological testing experience (EEG, NCV, EMG, ) Proficiency in the principles of human anatomy, electrical stimulus and medical terminology.
