Night (United States of America)Job Summary:The Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist I is responsible for performing Electroencephalograms (EEGs) and/or Evoked Potentials (EPs) studies in the Laboratory and at the bedside of patients. Also, performs video/EEG monitoring, routine topographic brain mapping studies, and ambulatory monitoring, etc. Video Long Term Monitoring (LTM) experience. Is qualified to provide a descriptive analysis of the waveforms and patterns relevant to their credential, however, is not responsible for interpretation or clinical correlation of the dataCore Responsibilities and Essential Functions:* Sets up and performs test procedures with little to no supervision. Identifies and performs basic and intermediate technical troubleshooting and artifact identification and eliminations. Understands and follows concepts of digital equipment and electrical safety within the EEG unit. Has knowledge of alternate montages, protocols, and alternate equipment settings and their effects should be applied. Can use photic stimulation and hyperventilation appropriately. Understands why and how to repair or fill bad electrodes. Removes electrodes and cleans up the patient after the EEG done to practice protocols and safety standards.* Familiar with the protocols for completion of the technical EEG report, charging procedures, and logging the patient into files.* Knowledgeable in correct EEG performance and recognition of clinically significant events and intervenes if appropriate.* Maintains the patients safety through communication to other patient care support staff during the EEG if needed* Contacts higher level staff as appropriate for problems within the EEG unit.* Stocks supplies and prepares patient rooms for EEG procedures.* Performs any other related duties that are consistent with patient and technical care for this level.Communication* Calls the Bio-med department with any equipment problems and maintenance issues.* Communicates with the physicians regarding the EEG study resultsGeneral requirements* Adheres to ethical business practices by striving to perform in a manner that conforms to the highest standards of ethical behavior, integrity and honesty.* Embraces diversity and demonstrates the ability to work together.* Maintains confidentiality of all patient information.* Maintains attendance/punctuality in accordance with system policy and procedure.* Adheres to departmental dress code policy, including wearing and displaying ID badge appropriately.* Communicates information effectively both verbally and in writing with all team members.* Attends and participates in staff meetings, required in-services, process improvement activities, and other meetings as requested.* Organizes workload to complete responsibilities in an appropriate and timely manner.* Utilizes materials and equipment in a safe and cost-effective manner.* Observes infection prevention precautionsCustomer Service* Strives to help lead the industry through vision, technology, innovation and customer service.* Strives to make a difference in the lives of our employees and patients.* Consistently applies AIDET principles in all interactions with patients.* Encourages a positive environment and experience for co-workers and patients. • High School Diploma General
• Accredited Program Neuroscience

Additional License(s) and Certification(s):Required Minimum Experience:Graduate of approved neurodiagnostic technology program RequiredLess than 1 year clinical experience in an neurodiagnostic lab setting.RequiredRequired Minimum Skills:Well developed PC and Microsoft Windows knowledge (keyboard skills), customer service, ability to function without much supervision.Strong well-developed communications skills.
