Position: Networking Cloud Engineering

Location: Libertyville, IL (Onsite)

Duration: Contract to Hire

Cloud Engineering / Networking Responsibilities:

  • Develop, Design and implement- Azure Cloud Services: Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage, Monitor
  • Develop, Design and implement VNETs, Subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, SDWAN and network solutions
  • Automation & DevOps -Design and implement support for ARM Templates, Terraform, PowerShell, CI/CD Pipelines
  • Performance & Cost Optimization – Autoscaling, Load Balancing, Reserved Instances
  • Design for scalability, reliability, availability, and security of systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and maintain resilient systems.
  • Investigate and evaluate market and technology trends
  • Foster a collaborative troubleshooting environment.

Project Management:

  • Lead infrastructure projects (e.g., Cloud integrations, system deployments, network upgrades).
  • Define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor progress and address any issues.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and adhere to and enforce security policies and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, NIST).
  • Remediate vulnerabilities and provide systems built with security by design.
  • Implementing a Zero Trust Architecture
  • Support Identity & Access Management Standards, Azure AD, RBAC

Vendor Management:

  • Evaluate technology vendors and ensure services and service levels are defined and considered.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and monitor service levels.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
  • Plan and test disaster recovery procedures.
  • Minimize downtime during critical incidents.
  • Azure Site Recovery, Backup, Geo Redundancy

System / Networking Assessment Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess the enterprise network landscape including LAN, WAN, Fiber and Voice for Hollister’s Tennessee locations.
  • Evaluate on-prem and cloud network security posture.
  • Assess server and compute platforms across on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Review storage, backup, restore and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Document consolidated findings, and recommendations for the above.
  • Create Network Assessment Report – Architecture and configuration details of network Devices
  • Create Server Assessment Report - Capacity, performance, availability details of On-prem and cloud servers
  • Create Security Assessment Report -  Identified risks and vulnerabilities on network, server, access control & firewall.
