edgefi Vancouver, WA (On-site) Full-Time

$75,000 - $90,000 DOE

WHY edgefi

At edgefi, our mission is to help small and medium businesses work happily by maximizing the technology they already have, rather than buying more tools. We want businesses to see IT and security not as a cost, but as a smart investment that helps them work better, protect their business, and plan for the future.

We deliver managed IT and cybersecurity services guided by three core values: People-Centric Excellence, Relentless Innovation, and Humility and Grit. That means we exceed expectations, take ownership from start to finish, and we're the first to admit when we don't have all the answers and the first to go find them.

This isn't a ticket-grinding role. You'll work on complex client environments, shape how we deliver service, and have real influence on our technical direction.

THE ROLE

The Network Administrator is a mid-level role focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable network infrastructure for our clients. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex networking problems, working directly in client environments, and taking ownership of infrastructure projects from planning through execution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own complex network incidents escalated from Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support, diagnosing and resolving issues that others can't
  • Lead network upgrade and refresh projects from planning through implementation and cutover
  • Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, wireless, and site-to-site connectivity
  • Manage firewall policies, NAT, segmentation, and secure remote-access solutions across client environments
  • Assess network performance, availability, and resiliency, and proactively identify risks before they impact clients
  • Support client migrations, office moves, and infrastructure changes that involve network redesign or reconfiguration
  • Document network topology, configurations, standards, and operating procedures for each client environment
  • Collaborate with support and security teams on incident response, remediation, and network hardening initiatives
  • Recommend improvements to network design, redundancy, monitoring, and security across the client base
  • Work directly with clients to scope, communicate, and deliver network projects from discovery to completion
  • Mentor support staff on networking fundamentals and serve as a technical escalation resource for infrastructure issues

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years in an MSP or comparable client-facing IT environment
  • Experience configuring and supporting secure site-to-site and remote-access VPNs
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, switching, routing, wireless, and VPN technologies
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, and network troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with redundancy, failover, and high-availability network design
  • Strong documentation habits for network topology, standards, and change tracking
  • Comfortable working with RMM tools, PSA/ITSM platforms
  • Experience working across multiple client environments; MSP experience preferred
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical complexity for any audience
  • You're local to the Vancouver/Portland metro. This is a full-time, in-person position

Required

  • CompTIA Network+
  • CCNA

NICE TO HAVE

  • CompTIA Security+

  • Aruba or Ubiquiti wireless/networking experience
