Technical Field Support Engineer, Information Systems, Full Time, Baptist Health Medical Center

The Mobile Healthcare Technology Support Specialist provides on-site technical support for Baptist Health's mobile healthcare technology units, ensuring the reliable operation of hardware, software, networking, and clinical technology systems. This role partners with clinicians, operational leaders, Network Services, Software Engineering, and Information Systems teams to maintain the availability and performance of mobile healthcare technologies that support patient care and community outreach. The Mobile Healthcare Technology Support Specialist serves as a key technical resource, providing timely issue resolution while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

A significant portion of the Mobile Healthcare Technology Support Specialist's day is dedicated to troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, connectivity, and peripheral issues within mobile healthcare units. Responsibilities include diagnosing technical problems, coordinating with Network Services, Software Systems Engineering, and Application Development teams to restore service, documenting support activities, performing equipment maintenance, supporting system updates, and ensuring technology remains operational and available for clinical staff. Much of this work is coordinated through Microsoft Teams, email, ticketing systems, and collaboration with cross-functional Information Systems teams.

The Mobile Healthcare Technology Support Specialist collaborates with Information Systems, Clinical Operations, Infrastructure Services, Network Services, and Application Support teams to support enterprise technology initiatives and maintain the reliability of mobile healthcare operations. This role follows established operational procedures while applying technical knowledge and analytical skills to resolve issues efficiently and minimize downtime.

Technical Field Support Engineer, Information Systems, Full Time, Baptist Health Medical Centert, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide on-site technical support for Baptist Health's mobile healthcare technology units.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, connectivity, and peripheral issues affecting mobile healthcare operations.
  • Collaborate with Network Services, Software Systems Engineering, and Application Development teams to restore service and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support technology systems utilized within mobile healthcare environments.
  • Document support activities, issue resolution, and system updates in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, availability, and user experience.
  • Support routine maintenance, equipment replacements, software deployments, and system upgrades.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while supporting clinicians, operational staff, and business users.
  • Follow established operational procedures and Information Systems support standards.
  • Escalate complex technical issues when appropriate while maintaining communication with stakeholders throughout the resolution process.
  • Participate in after-hours or on-call support as required.

Mobile Healthcare Technology Support Specialist Experience:

  • Experience providing technical support for hardware, software, networking, or healthcare technology environments preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting computer systems, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and connectivity issues preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking concepts, and endpoint technologies preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with infrastructure, networking, software engineering, or application support teams preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, customer service, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while working within established operational procedures.

Education/Degree Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Degree Preferred:
