Job description

  • Provide onsite operational, engineering, and sustainment support for enterprise and tactical network infrastructures supporting U.S. Army mission requirements
  • Maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing classified and unclassified network environments
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize Cisco, Juniper, Versa, and integrated security technologies
  • Analyze network performance and recommend infrastructure capacity, scalability, and performance adjustments
  • Perform daily network operations, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and lifecycle replacement activities
  • Design, implement, and validate network configuration prototypes for routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and automation frameworks
  • Use Python and Ansible to streamline network administration and operational tasks
  • Monitor network availability, reliability, utilization, and system health
  • Resolve network incidents, outages, and performance degradation
  • Participate in conceptual, logical, and physical network architecture development and review
  • Implement cybersecurity measures including firewall policies, network access controls, vulnerability remediation, and security auditing
  • Develop technical documentation, SOPs, network diagrams, and configuration baselines
  • Support DoD cybersecurity policies, RMF requirements, and Army network standards
  • Coordinate with government customers, vendors, and support teams to ensure mission continuity
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior personnel
Requirements
  • Experience supporting enterprise routing, switching, and network security technologies
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, and routing/switching fundamentals
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools, firewall technologies, and network monitoring solutions
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments
  • Working knowledge of automation, scripting, and configuration management tools
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification required (DoD 8570/8140 compliant)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required
  • Active Secret Security Clearance requiredAssociate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Federal Government network environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, analytical troubleshooting, independent workload management, customer service, teamwork, and mentoring abilities
