Required Skills and Education
  • An Active Secret Security Clearance and CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex problems in a production environment
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma and 3 or more years of relevant experience
  • Ability to independently research solutions to problems and propose viable solutions
  • Ability to work with multiple teams to accomplish complex tasks
  • Comfortable working with multiple vendors in a heterogeneous environment

Technical skills
  • Familiarity with at least one virtualization platform
  • Good understanding of Cisco technologies
  • Experience with LAN switching technologies such as VLANS, spanning tree, and ether-channel
  • Capable of configuring network routing protocols such as Static OSPF & BGP
  • Comfortable with Firewall routing, policy, and inspection
  • Familiarity with configuring and managing NAT devices
  • Experience with IP-Sec VPNs and GRE

Preferred Skills and Education
  • Experience with various WAN technologies such as MPLS and Ethernet
  • Familiarity with networking requirements for high performance storage systems
  • Familiarity with multicast technologies and anycast routing
  • Experience with high speed Ethernet technologies (25GB, 40GB, & 100GB physical implementation)
  • Experience in base networking architecture support
