Recommends, implements, and maintains network and system architectures. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Planning, design, implementation and maintenance of various network and security architectures and implementations. Essential Functions: Monitor the performance and characteristics of firewalls, gateways, networks, remote access and authentication services to make necessary adjustments so as to improve efficiency and effectiveness Responsible for identifying, addressing and resolving (in a timely manner) chronic client problems Upgrade network hardware and software components as required Administer and monitor programs that control user access to the network and systems Establish access security for networks and systems being installed Setup and maintain network and security infrastructure.
