Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and assess the current network infrastructure and security posture to identify vulnerabilities and gaps
  • Implement and support network security solutions including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure access technologies
  • Assist in deploying and maintaining Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), SASE/SSE solutions, and next-generation firewall configurations
  • Support SD-WAN deployments and ensure secure connectivity across distributed networksMonitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM and network monitoring tools, and respond to incidents
  • Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediation activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and troubleshoot network security solutions across on-prem and cloud environments
  • Maintain and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Troubleshoot network and security-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are preferred

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Network Security Engineering or related roles
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network security tools
  • Good understanding of SASE/SSE concepts and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
  • Working knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and secure network design
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, OSPF, etc.
  • Familiarity with PKI, TLS/DTLS, and encryption technologies
  • Experience with Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), intrusion detection/prevention systems, and malware protection tools
  • Experience with leading security vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Zscaler, or similar
  • Exposure to network automation or scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
