Job Summary:
Network Security Systems Plus, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer specializing in Windows environments. The role involves managing and administering a large distributed Active Directory enterprise, implementing security measures, and ensuring system integration and testing in support of enterprise systems.
Responsibilities:
• Management and administration of a large distributed Active Directory enterprise, including security hardening and assessment
• Integration of multifactor authentication technologies and system, network, and security monitoring applications
• Installation, configuration, administration, and testing of Microsoft Windows Server
• Engineering, implementation, and testing of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
• Design and implementation of Virtual Desktop environments and backup/storage solutions
• Automated system builds using DevOps technologies
Qualifications:
Required:
• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Top Secret (SCI eligible)
• A total of 15+ years of relevant IT experience: Information Systems, Systems engineering, design and administration to include: Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specification, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, and Test & Evaluation Criteria in support of enterprise systems.
• Five (5) years of technical experience in support of system implementation and installations.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical degree.
• Minimum DOD 8570 IAT Level II compliant by obtaining/maintaining required certifications such as SSCP, SCNP, Security+ CE, or GSEC.
• 15+ experience with management and administration of a large distributed Active Directory enterprise, including 5+ years' experience with security hardening and assessment
• Experience with third-party proxy administration tools (i.e. Dell ActiveRoles Server; NetIQ Directory Resource Administrator/Exchange Administrator/Group Policy Administrator), and with change auditing tools (i.e. Dell Change Auditor for Active Directory; NetIQ Change Guardian for Active Directory)
• Experience integrating multifactor authentication technologies (smartcards, security tokens, and/or biometrics), and with system, network and security monitoring applications such as Solarwinds, NetIQ Application Manager and Security Manager, Splunk Enterprise, and Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager
• Understanding of Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, security best practices per NIST, FISMA and CIS guidelines (required)
• Experience with backup solutions to NetApp, Nutanix, or something similar
• Experience with SQL Server administration, Windows-based server technologies and virtualization technologies using VMware, Cisco Identity Services Engine integration, public key infrastructure, federated identity management and single sign-on authentication, Powershell scripting (desired)
• Microsoft Windows Server installation, configuration, administration, and testing
• Microsoft Active Directory enterprise engineering, implementation, and testing
• Proficiency with Powershell scripting
• Microsoft Exchange engineering, implementation, and testing
