This role also involves monitoring and troubleshooting firewalls, load balancers, wireless systems, switches, and routers across onpremises data centers and AWS cloud environments.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Design, install, automate, and manage network infrastructure devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, NAC, WAN/LAN systems, wireless access points/controllers, DNS, SSL certificates, and structured cabling.

  • Analyze business requirements to develop scalable and secure technical network solutions and architectural frameworks.

  • Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including disaster recovery and contingency strategies.

  • Design, test, inspect, and implement data communications systems and network changes.

  • Deploy and optimize security policies, rulesets, and configurations across NGFWs, SASE platforms, and segmentation technologies to enhance security posture, performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Develop test plans, implementation strategies, and project timelines for network-related initiatives.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex network issues involving multiple variables and distributed environments.

  • Collaborate with technology vendors to support business initiatives and evaluate emerging solutions.

  • Conduct capacity and performance planning, including oversight of production software upgrades.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all network infrastructure and operational procedures.

  • Stay current with modern technologies to guide product direction and network evolution.

  • Serve as an escalation point for the service desk and incident response teams, handling reactive incidents and leading root-cause analysis for problem management.

  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support critical network operations.
