You'll take on a highly influential role shaping vision and execution across key strategic initiatives. You'll partner with cross-functional leaders, contribute to high-impact decisions, guide complex projects from concept to completion, and mentor others on the team. This is a role for someone who leverages modern tools and cutting-edge methodologies as a core part of how they solve problems, and raises the bar for everyone around them.

This role is based in our Bellevue, WA, with in-person attendance expected at least three days per week.

What you'll do

Design, build, and support Robinhood's production network and infrastructure systems by ensuring project infrastructure needs are met and partnering with engineering teams to improve reliability and operational best practices. Design and maintain scalable and resilient cloud and data center networking solutions using automation and infrastructure management practices. Implement and refine monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively detect and mitigate issues, ensuring high availability and performance. Design and maintain secure remote access solutions to protect company data. Develop and enhance automation tools and services to streamline network deployments and configuration management. Design and support essential production network services to ensure a seamless user experience. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support connectivity and peering requirements. Advocate for continuous improvement in operational controls and participate in a regular on-call rotation. Telecommuting permitted.

What you bring
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field plus one year of experience in job offered or related occupation.
  • Education and/or experience must include:
    • Designing and operating production network infrastructure in data center and cloud environments, including routing and connectivity technologies.
    • Working with dynamic routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF in on-premises or hybrid network environments.
    • Developing network automation solutions using programming languages such as Python or Golang .
    • Building or supporting backend services and APIs used for infrastructure or network automation platforms.
    • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in large-scale production networked or distributed systems.
    • Supporting scalable and resilient network services in cloud-based, on-prem or hybrid infrastructure environments.
    • Configuring and maintaining network devices, including routers, switches and firewalls, using standard networking commands or APIs.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to the corresponding compensation zone. 

Base Pay Range:

$138,986 - $195,000 per year
